Tic-Toc

DescriptionОписание

EN A circle focus game in which two small objects — one called the Tic, one called the Toc — are passed in opposite directions around the group using a scripted "A what?" exchange. The game stays manageable at first, but when the Tic and Toc cross each other things get delightfully chaotic and players must really focus.

How to Play

EN

  1. Players form a circle of 10–12 people. One player is the Control and holds two small objects — one is the Tic, the other is the Toc.
  2. Control turns to the player on the right, hands over the Tic, and says: "This is a Tic." That player asks: "A what?" Control replies: "A Tic." The player says: "Oh, a Tic," then turns to the next person and passes it with the same opener.
  3. Each time "A what?" is asked, the question travels all the way back to Control before the name travels forward again. This chain must always return to Control.
  4. Simultaneously, Control turns to the player on the left, hands over the Toc, and starts the same sequence with "This is a Toc."
  5. Both objects travel around the circle in opposite directions. When the Tic and Toc meet (roughly at the players across from Control), two chains of "A what?" overlap and players must track both at once.
  6. Let the group work through the confusion — that struggle is the point. After letting things unravel, review the rules and run it again.

RU

Teaching Tips /

EN Let the group flounder when things get messy. Allow players to argue and get frustrated — that productive chaos teaches focus and communication better than smooth runs. Only review the rules if the group breaks down immediately before understanding the basic transaction.
