EN A call-and-response rhythm game where the group echoes nonsense phrases after the leader, then varies them by substituting sounds and finally singing the phrases. A summer-camp staple that is addictive, rhythmic, and fun.

How to PlayКак играть

1. The leader calls out each phrase and the group repeats it after them: "I said a boom chicka boom" / "I said a boom chicka boom" / "I said a boom a chicka, boom a chicka, rock a chickaboom" / "Booma chicka rocka chicka rocka chicka boom" / "I said alright" / "I said ok."
2. Repeat the sequence several times, varying rhythm, timing, and words. The leader introduces a new sound style using the formula: "I said a one more time, the ____ way." For example, the "cow way" turns the phrase into "I said a moo chicka moo"; the "telephone way" becomes "I said a ring chicka ring." Invite participants to suggest their own substitutions.
3. Repeat the whole sequence again, but this time singing. The group tries to echo the exact notes the leader uses.
