The Blind Person and the Bomb

EN One actor is blindfolded and surrounded by the rest of the group. The blindfolded actor must move through the space while imagining that a bomb will explode if any contact with another person lasts longer than one second. At each touch, the blind person immediately moves away as far as possible, producing a remarkable sharpening of all the senses.

1. One actor is blindfolded; the remaining actors spread freely around the room.
2. The blindfolded actor begins moving through the space, relying entirely on touch and sound.
3. Each time the blind actor makes contact with another person, they must treat it as if a bomb will go off: break contact immediately and move as far away as possible.
4. No contact may last longer than a second — this is the core rule the blind actor holds in their imagination throughout.
5. Continue for several minutes, then swap the blindfolded role so other actors experience it.
